Our Services

Every piece gets its own method.

A concert grand, an oil painting and a 1,400-pound gun safe have nothing in common except that all three punish guesswork. Here is exactly how we handle the items we are called for most.

Instruments

Piano Moving

Spinets and uprights, baby grands, parlour grands and nine-foot concert instruments — plus organs, harpsichords and antique player pianos.

  • Preparation. The lid and fallboard are secured, the lyre and legs removed on grands, and every fitting is bagged, tagged and travels with the instrument.
  • Support. Grands are strapped to a padded piano board and skid; uprights are covered edge to edge and moved on purpose-built dollies.
  • Access. Stairs, tight turns, balconies and crane or hoist lifts when a doorway simply will not give. We measure before the truck is booked.
  • After delivery. Reassembled, leveled and positioned away from vents and direct sun. Let it acclimate a couple of weeks, then tune — we can refer a technician.

Fine Art

Paintings, Sculpture & Gallery Pieces

Canvases, framed works on paper, mirrors, bronzes, marble and large-format installations for private collectors, galleries, designers and corporate collections.

  • Wrapping. Glassine or acid-free tissue against the surface, foam corners on the frame, then a rigid outer layer. Nothing abrasive ever touches paint or gilding.
  • Crating. Custom travel frames and wooden crates built to the piece for long-distance moves, storage or shipping.
  • Transport. Works travel upright and braced, never flat under weight, in a padded air-ride vehicle.
  • Installation. Hanging, leveling and securing at the destination, including heavy mirrors and multi-panel works.

Heirlooms

Grandfather & Longcase Clocks

The most commonly damaged item in any household move, and almost always because it was moved like furniture instead of like a machine.

  • Movement first. Weights are removed and marked left, center and right; the pendulum is taken down; chime rods and cables are secured so nothing swings or tangles in transit.
  • The case. Glass panels and the door are protected and immobilized, the bonnet packed separately, and the case blanket-wrapped and braced to travel upright.
  • Setup. Reassembled at the destination, leveled front to back and side to side, weights rehung in their original positions and the beat set so it runs true.

Antique Furniture

Armoires, Wardrobes & Case Goods

Armoires, highboys, secretaries, curio cabinets, china hutches, dining tables, four-poster beds and pool tables.

  • Disassembly. Doors, shelves, crowns and mirrors come off where the piece was built to come apart — and only where it was.
  • Protection. Shrink over pads (never plastic directly on old finish), marble and glass crated flat and carried on edge, veneer and inlay corner-guarded.
  • Reassembly. Rebuilt in the destination room, doors realigned, drawers checked and the piece leveled on uneven floors.

Final Mile

New Furniture Delivery & Receiving

White glove final-mile service for interior designers, furniture showrooms, auction buyers and homeowners who would rather not have their new sofa left in the driveway.

  • Receiving & inspection. We take delivery, inspect for freight damage and photograph the condition before anything reaches your client.
  • Deluxing. Unboxed, cleaned, assembled and inspected again so it arrives ready to be looked at, not unpacked.
  • Placement. Carried in, placed to the floor plan, leveled and adjusted — with floor and door protection throughout.
  • Debris removal. Cartons, foam, straps and pallets leave with us.

Heavy & Rigged

Safes, Vaults & Heavy Equipment

Gun safes, jewelry and floor safes, commercial vaults, industrial machinery, gym equipment, statuary and anything else that reads four digits on the scale.

  • Assessment. Weight, dimensions, floor ratings, stair construction and turning radii checked before the date is set.
  • Equipment. Stair-climbing dollies, machinery skates, rigging, ramps and liftgates — plus plywood and Masonite over finished floors.
  • Placement. Set exactly where you want it, leveled and re-anchored to the floor or wall where required.

High Value

Valuables & Private Collections

Jewelry, silver services, coin and stamp collections, wine, firearms, memorabilia, rare books and sensitive documents.

  • Inventory. Itemized and photographed at origin, sealed, and reconciled with you at delivery.
  • Custody. A named crew from load to unload. Direct point-to-point routing with no warehouse stop and no co-loading.
  • Discretion. Background-checked crews, unmarked vehicle options and confidentiality as standard for private clients.

Packing

Custom Crating & Packing

When padding is not enough, we build the box around the object — on site, to the millimeter.

  • Wooden crates, travel frames and foam-lined cavities cut to the piece
  • Chandeliers, marble tops, oversized canvases, statuary and lab or medical equipment
  • Full-house or single-room packing with archival materials for fragile and antique items
  • Crates built for onward air or ocean freight where required
